Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan (RELEASED TODAY)

I just got to listen to a few songs off this tribute album to one of the best poet musicians in rock n' roll history... the iconic Bob Dylan.  Even when I wasn't a fan of a specific song, his voice or lyrics would somehow grab my attention.   I must admit I was pleasantly surprised upon hearing a few of these songs.  I'm not usually a fan of too many cover songs (disappointed with Buddy Holly tribute album last year) - don't ruin a classic song, but there a few songs that really stood out to me and I have posted a few below.. First posted is Ke$ha singing 'Don't Think Twice, it's Alright' - which was a song that the words are amazing but really liked her take on this.  Ziggy Marley covered, 'Blowin In the Wind', the awesome jersey band, The Gaslight Anthem do, 'Changing of the Guards'.  Lastly, Miley Cyrus covered 'You're Gonna Make me Lonesome when You Go' and I have been honest, I was one of those totally annoyed that she was everywhere at one point, but I have to admit her voice sounds perfect for this song.  Thoughts???Well take a listen to these songs and try to sample the rest of the album and go to a store and actually buy the CD instead of downloading it... help the local stores out.

Michelle Williams --- Some Like Her Hot Movies + TV: GQ.com

I just read the interview with Michelle Williams for GQ Magazine.. and I have to admit I must have teared up three times (at least).

Watching her speak as she accepted her Golden Globe with a calmness and so soft spoken just shows the strength she has. I have to admit I liked her on Dawson's Creek (even though I did not see all seasons) and have really enjoyed her performances in the past few years and obviously really liked Heath Ledger and was very sad when he passed away. I couldn't help but feel for Williams and their daughter Matilda. In the article, she mentions how her daughter won't have her own memories, but she (Williams) will be able to provide memories, stories, things to show her and I have no doubt that Matilda will feel the love from both her parents as Williams seems to be determined to provide a full round life for her and Heath's daughter.

2012 Golden Globes.. Best Dressed!

Congrats to all the winners... super happy for Kelsey Grammer, Idris Elba, Claire Danes, George Clooney, Christopher Plummer, Octavia Spencer, Jessica Lange, Kate Winslet, Meryl Street and Michelle Williams.  However, what I love about this award season is the red carpet and how its a celebration of the lows & highs of film & television... with that I have to admit I am a little disappointed with the red carpet looks.  Usually there are one or two that just look simply perfect and the dress is out of this world, classy but still new and gorgeous.  There were many pretty, pretty dresses and handsome guys.. so I'll just show what I did think was pretty and the men that looked wonderful (including couples).   What did you think of the red carpet outcome and the show itself?

Emma Stone looked beautiful and check out her close up with the hair - just really pretty girl.   Kathleen Robertson - liked the dress but her makeup or earrings were just off.  Andie MacDowell looked great and considering her daughters are now grown... really class act.  And lastly, Sarah Michelle Gellar, her dress wasn't my favorite or on the worst list, but one thing that was perfect... her makeup.  She looked absolutely perfect.. so what did you guys think?  Who is your best dressed?
