The Killers 'Runaways'
First single & video from their upcoming new album, battle born - to be released in September.
Bachelorette Trailer (2012)
Kristen Dunst, Lizzy Caplin, Isla Fisher, James Marsden, Rebel Wilson and Hayes MacArthur all star in this film.... hope they didn't show all the fun stuff and saved some for the film!
Man of Steel -- teaser trailer...
I have to admit this teaser grabbed me... I love films that have a dark, grey feel vision to them. The cast also helps though... Kevin Coster, Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Christopher Meloni and Laurence Fishburne - how can it not be good!?
R.I.P. Sherman Hemsley...
Yesterday we lost another TV iconic actor, Sherman Hemsley. With his loss, you can’t help but feel additional sadness to the character of George Jefferson. I thank Sherman Hemsley for bringing George to life.
I’ll be honest, I only really appreciated The Jeffersons in my mid-20s. For some reason, the countless times I watched it as a kid – I enjoyed it but I didn’t get certain jokes or statements, but after watching it on late night as an adult, I really discovered how really, really funny it was. The entire show was just pure TV enjoyment. I never found it odd that The Jeffersons had an interracial couple as neighbors and friends, but looking back obviously it might have made people nervous or angry for whatever reason. So besides the show being hilarious, it broke barriers as well.
One of my favorite scene was from episode 1 of Season 2.. check it out!
Rest in Peace Sherman Hemsley and again thank you for all the laughs…

2012 Emmy nominations... My reaction
“It’s an honor to be nominated”. Well, I would have liked to have seen other names being honored this year and I have to admit my disappointed in some categories. Granted I am unable to watch every series and every mini-series or movies, but there are some shows, actors and actress being completely shut out.
Happy that HBO’s Girls got nominated for Best Comedy and Lena Dunham got nominated for Best Actress - a very creative and fun show. Besides Girls, I’m excited for Modern Family and Big Bang Theory. So excited that Ed O’Neill got nominated (hope he wins). The rest of his co-stars, men and women got nominated besides the kids. For Big Bang Theory, besides the show, Jim Parsons got nominated, just wish Johnny Galecki was on the list as well. I am disappointed that no one from Happy Endings was nominated, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans, Jr., Casey Wilson, and Eliza Coupe. Oh and no Martha Plimpton from Raising Hope – really?
Edie Falco was nominated for Nurse Jackie, but I was super happy that Merritt Wever was finally nominated for her supporting role as Zoey on Nurse Jackie. Always been one of my favorites on that show. Also really happy for the SNL family, hosts Maya Rudolph and Melissa McCartney and including cast members Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader got nominated, respectively.
The Drama categories are where I’m really disappointed in. No love or recognition for Sons of Anarchy, Boss, Magic City, or Parenthood; although Jason Ritter got nominated for best guest actor in a drama. No best show, no best actor, no best actress, no best supporting actor or actress nominations. Are you kidding me? Kelsey Grammer is amazing in Boss, the entire show is so good. I recently started watching Sons of Anarchy and each season has been great and never a boring episode in any season. Powerful performances all around but Katey Sagal and Charlie Hunnam especially deserved some love. I knew Mad Men, Homeland, Breaking Bad would be nominated – seems like a given at this point. Boardwalk Empire got some recognition but thought out of every category, Michael Pitt deserved that best supporting actor nomination and of course, denied.
Evan Peters and Dylan McDermott from American Horror Story I thought deserved some recognition – nothing as well. No Alan Cumming for The Good Wife. The show itself was kicked out of the best drama – so weird.
I am also happy for Michael J. Fox and Martha Plimpton for their guest appearance nominations. Extremely happy for Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, Mare Winningham, Tom Berenger for Hartfields & McCoys, and happy for Joan Cusack on her fun character on Shameless, thought Emmy Rossum deserved a nomination as well.
Don't get me wrong this is my initial reaction for the nominations and I bet everyone deserves the recognition but when I see some being nominated constantly and some none it's a little sad for those who should receive some appreciation for their fine work on tv! At the end of the day... Not everyone can be nominated but congrats to all!!
I was really rooting for certain shows and certain actors, but some I have was very happy about, some pleasant surprises for overdue recognition and some still shut out. Here’s to next year and for those that I’m rooting for – fingers crossed until Emmy night in September.

OZ The Great and Powerful... movie trailer.
Anyone super close to me knows that The Wizard of Oz is one of the best and most enjoyable film for me. The movie is just one of the most magical films any child should get to see and as an adult appreciate it even more. I will always have a soft spot for this film so of course when I heard they were going to make this film, sort of a prequel about the great Oz, the great and powerful - I was intrigued. As they cast actor by actor, I got even more excited... James Franco, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz and directed by the cool Sam Raimi.
The trailer looks pretty cool and I'm still very much intrigued to see this and it is definitely on top of my list for 2013 films.

Frank Ocean...
So a few months back I tweeted Frank Ocean's song, 'Swim Good' and then he was featured on a Tyler, The Creator single, 'She'. I really like those songs... and so i've been keeping an eye out for this guy.. and he performed on Jimmy Fallon and sang a song called 'Bad Religion' - great performance. Check it out... oh, you can download his new album Channel Orange now on itunes, but actual CD will be available next week.

Silver Linings Playbook - Trailer
Saw this trailer last week and keep forgetting to post it.. Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker and Julia Stiles all star in this film. What do you think?
Sons of Anarchy - Season 5 Teaser Promo
My new TV obsession is Sons of Anarchy... I have always been curious to see this show just because I keep hearing how great it is and I'm a fan of the great Katey Sagal. I have seen seasons 1 and 2... and will soon watch Seasons 3 and 4 and then be all caught up to watch the season premiere on September 4.
I have to say the show has been so fun to watch. The acting has been awesome and the writing is great. Really enjoy watching and following these characters and can't wait to see what happens. Katey Sagal, Charlie Hunnam and the rest of the cast are awesome.
