    John Mayer, Rolling Stone Interview

Rolling Stone Magazine releases next months issue today and John Mayer is on the cover & they have a full interview. I can't wait to read the full interview but have to admit for those who were not too sure of who he is - this article might help out a bit. Enjoy...

Below is part of the interview (via http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2010/01/19/john-mayers-dirty-mind-lonely-heart-new-issue-of-rolling-stone/)

John Mayer may be the king of the confessional Twitter, but all his 140-character missives about spectacular bowel movements don’t measure up to the explosion of deeply personal details he reveals to Erik Hedegaard in the new issue of Rolling Stone, on stands tomorrow. (Check out exclusive video from our cover shoot below.)
The 32-year-old singer-guitarist admits he prefers Continuum to his 2009 disc Battle Studies (”I know that I’m supposed to say that my newest is the best one. Bullshit,” he says), that he hasn’t stopped thinking about his split with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston (”I’ve never really gotten over it. It was one of the worst times of my life”) and that his sex life has become an endless loop of new girls rejecting him in clubs (”Blowing me off is the new sucking me off!”).
Mayer’s in the midst of a massive 10-year record deal and enjoys the pleasures of late-night weed-and-video-game sessions, as well as his $20 million vintage watch collection, but what he truly wants, he tells Hedegaard, is to finally find a a female companion. But not just any girlfriend — Mayer is after “the Joshua Tree of vaginas.” “I’ll be happy when I close out this life-partner thing,” he says. “Think of how much mental capacity I’m using to meet the right person so I can stop giving a fuck about it.”
Grab the new issue for Mayer’s full advice for Tiger Woods (”I have masturbated myself out of serious problems in my life”) and more on his journey from bedroom guitar player to the most angst-ridden playboy in rock.

    Elvis Presley's 75th Birthday!!

I've been a fan of Elvis Presley for as long as I can remember (following my mother's strong feelings for Elvis). Obviously, growing up I began to develop my own opinion and I too agreed with my mom that he was an attractive man and great singer/entertainer. Also, the films I have to admit - some are cheesy but if I catch them on TV, I'm hooked! Although, I really do think he was great in Jailhouse Rock - I think that movie really portrayed the actor he was. I have not yet been to Memphis or Graceland but it's definitely on my list of to do's.

His voice is unforgettable to this day and he broke so many records; broke so many molds. After all these years people still love to hear his music and continue to wonder of all the possibilities that would/could have been if he had lived to 75.

Today, the Presley family had a ceremony at Graceland to commemorate Elvis' 75th birthday. Ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, daughter Lisa Marie and 2 (out of 4) of his oldest grandchildren, Riley Keough (21 yrs old) and Benjamin Keough (18 yrs old) all attended in honor of Elvis; the son, the musician, the soldier, the entertainer, the husband, the actor, the father, the re-inventor and finally the icon forever.
I've uploaded some pics of today's events (thank you yahoo & associated press)....

Natalie Portman Pics, Elle UK (February 2010) issue

Since the professional, Natalie Portman has left such a mark on the film industry and as she gets older - she seems to have the desire to keep pushing and pushing until she feels she is done. For some reason, I see her behind the scenes and discovering other ways in the film industry where she can have an outlet.

Anyway, I've posted a few pics that I liked.

'Keep the Car Running' --- song by Arcade Fire

I'm totally loving this new song by Arcade Fire.

I know this might sound weird but for some reason this song reminded me of the 80s film, "Eddie & the Cruisers" - anyone else get that?

either way this song, 'Keep the Car Running' is awesome!
